This document contains a set of tutorials on using Root for LCD detector studies. To do serious analysis using Root you will need to learn a little C++. Don't panic, the Root folks have written a great deal that will introduce you to the key concepts you need to understand.

You will need to install Root and understand the Event classes. As of this writing, we are on version 2.21v07. For the fastMC, you will also need to install StdHep for generator input.

  2. Using Calorimeter Hits converted to GeV and true spatial position
  3. Helper class for Event Analysis
  4. Reading StdHep generator files and running the fastMC
  5. Reading GISMO files and running the fullRecon
