Making use of the Energy Scales and Angle Segmentations in CalHit

The CalHit class includes member functions that will return values back for energy in GeV and angles back in angle units. These are predicated on global variables in the CalHit class which must be set before these functions can be used.

There are 3 arrays to fill:

• energyScale[4]
• cosThetaSeg[4]

• phiSeg[4]

where the order of elements is EM, HAD, MU, LUM. These arrays must be set once before the GetEtot, GetcosTheta and GetPhi functions can be used.

Values for these arrays can be seen in $NLDROOT/RootApps/FullRecon/prod/ in SmallTrackSmear.par and LargeTrackSmear.par.
