Using Root for LCD Physics Studies

This document contains a set of tutorials on using Root for LCD detector studies. To do serious analysis using Root you will need to learn a little C++. Don't panic, the Root folks have written a great deal that will introduce you to the key concepts you need to understand.

• Installations: Note:: Currently, we only support SunOS and Linux.
  1. Root : We need Root version 2.25.01 or higher.
  2. LCD event classes, fastMC, fullRecon, ascii file parser
  : Current version.. RootApps-2.0 (Updated in Aug. 2000 ).
  3. StdHep : If your OS is other than Sun or Linux, you need to install it. (Please re compile with PIC option.)
