Support from Root team has been excellent
Cannot set design based on perceived best structure (perhaps a general fact of life)
TMaps are expensive in I/O
- was not clear from the Root pages
until ‘smart indices’ arrive, use of pointers is awkward
Lack of reference manual makes things more difficult
- must guess how things work from examples if one needs to extend them
