The popup menus contain some frequently used menu items, but contain nothing that cannot be found on the main menus. Normally, it is opened using the right mouse button.
There are in fact multiple popup menus. Each is geared to the component type it was opened from. One can be opened from when the mouse on a histogram plot, and the other can be opened when the mouse is on a text page. Also, some tree items have popup menus. For example, one way to show a histogram is to select 'Show Data' from the popup menu on a histogram tree node.
