A cut is an adjustable discriminator that allows an event
generator or event analyzer to support dynamic
selection of data. Various subclasses of hep.analysis.Cut support
different types of discrimination. See the javadoc documentation for more
information on each.
On the setup page for event generators and the setup page for event analyzers, a button near the bottom labeled 'Edit list of Cuts' opens the cut list dialog where you can add cuts to the wizard-generated code.
Note that cuts are a recent addition to Java Analysis Studio and have been implemented only partially. The only cut currently supported is a simple one-dimensional, numerical cut. Future versions will support more sophisticated cuts.
