How to Install a New Version of RNDMCMD

The RNDMCMD processor is a slightly strange animal in the SLD software managerie. It lives in an object library all of its own, yet, unlike most other object libraries, it does not have its own DUCS section. Installing a new version of RNDMCMD PREPMNLB is therefore a little different from other DUCS installation jobs. To install a new version of RNDMCMD, follow three steps outlined below.

Issue the TODUCS command for RNDMCMD PREPMNLB. This will install the file into the MC section, but it will not incorporate it into the MC library (No LiBrary is what the NLB stands for in prepmNLB). If compilation was successful, you should see a new RNDMCMD.OBJ on VMS. This TODUCS command can be issued from either VMS or VM.
For VMS use, it is then necessary to turn the RNDMCMD object file into a library all of its own. To do so, from VMS issue the command
```
       TODUCS PRODMC:RNDMCMD.BUILDCOM
 
```
Do this for both mode=DEV and mode=PROD as necessary. You should then see a new RNDMCMD.OLB.
Though the DUCS section in which RNDMCMD lives is MC, the sharable in which it lives is SLDSHR. Therefore, to make the new RNDMCMD available from sharables, it is finally necessary to rebuild SLDSHR. From VMS, issue the command
```
       TODUCS PRODSLD:SLDSHR.VEC
 
```
Do this for both mode=DEV and mode=PROD as necessary. Note that since SLDSHR lives in a different DUCS section from RNDMCMD, the new RNDMCMD must be in PROD for it to be picked by DEV or PROD SLDSHR.
