Communications & Technology Services (CATS) University of California, Santa Cruz SUPPORT CENTER DIRECTOR reports to Associate Vice Chancellor, Communications & Technology Services, directs 12 computer professionals in delivering comprehensive user support services to the UCSC community. Supervising the Information Resource Center (helpdesk) and the Workstation Support Unit, the director establishes policy and strategies for providing campus technical services, including technical guidance and leadership for the establishment of campus hardware and software standards. QUALIFICATIONS Experience in providing user support services from a senior management level. Proven management skills with policy and budget formulation. Proven ability to provide technical leadership. Understanding of networked connectivity across a wide variety of platforms, various operating systems, utilities, variety of applications, email packages and Internet access tools. Prefer a master's degree or higher, with strong computing component, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
