Detector simulation work follows on to the future Linear Collider detector (LCD) spec that came out of Snowmass '96. The simulation package utilizes a generic detector description interface to allow specfication of cylindrically symmetric components.

Highlights:

• simple ASCII file input spec of cylindrically symmetric components
• physics generator input via FNAL's stdHEP I/O & /HEPEVT/ standard
• EGS & GHEISHA for calorimetry
• VXD & Central Tracker digitized; parametrized tracks as temporary expedient
• full MC truth history of tracking and calorimetry
• C++, OO, GEANT4-ready^(*) and other buzzwords
