- initially use same Track smear code but use actual number of hits for acceptance
Calorimeter
- start with cluster ‘cheater’
- use hit list MC parentage to perfectly reconstruct the deposited energy
Clustering R&D project
- two pass clustering
- first pass collapses several layers
- gather neighbouring hits
- since Keystone, clustering in the HAD & EC’s now done.
- Second pass will knit together subsystems and attempt to divide up crude clusters into ‘particles’.
- Probably will require some knowledge of shower shapes
