First Look at Single ParticlesCalorimetry

• A quick comparison of

  • original Snowmass
  • Small
  • Large

• for 20 GeV p’s and e’s

• energy scale factors set by m dE/dx

• Snowmass & Large look reasonable

• Small is whacko for p’s!

• Small e/m has noticeable dependence on W thickness

• I suspect the coil layout
  • for no good reason there is a big gap between the coil and HAD calorimeter
