GISMO has a very simple model of dE/dx (Bethe-Block only; no fluctuations; no d rays; no Landau)
Needs verification at this level
- asked Ray Frey to check it out with EGS4
- asked David Wagner & Co to check with the Colorado GEANT3 simulation
The answer may have a strong effect on our migration to GEANT4
- if G4 is not likely to be useable on a reasonable time frame, we may have to consider switching to GEANT3...
