There are two axis tabs, one for the x axis and one for the y axes. The only difference is that the 'Y Axis' page allows you to set all of the different y axes and does not allow you to set binning parameters.
When the number of bins shows to be -1, that means it has not been set yet because there is no established partition for binning.
