hep.lcd Status

hep.lcd is a package for reconstruction and analysis of LCD data. It can be used in conjunction with the GISMO package or as a standalone package for parameterized simulation of MC generator output. The table below shows the status of various components as of the hep.lcd 0.96 release.

Sub-System Status Documentation Comments
Reconstruction Hit Smearing Done Needed From Nic Sinev. Parameterized for small and large detector.
Track Finding Working In-progress Mike Ronan's track finding package. Extended by Nic Sinev to read detector geometry. Now works for small and large detector.
Track Fitting Done! Needed Nic Sinev working on Java implementation. TRF++? MCFast?
Clustering Cluster Cheater Complete Done
Simple Clusterer Complete Done Can set a threshold for minimum cluster nucleus energy
Radial Clusterer Working Done
Track-Cluster Association In-Progress   Gary Bower working on design.
Mike Ronan has prototype implementation.
Fast MC StdHep Input Converter Complete
Tracking Complete In-progress Now implements Bruce Schumm's smearing algorithm and set errorMatrix
Calorimetry     Needed?
Driver/Processor/Constants utilities Complete Done
Event Display Complete Done
Jet Finding + Event Shape routines Complete Done
contrib area     First contributions from Mike Ronan, tracking analysis MC event classification utilities.
Event Merging utilities     Need polarized state merging (T.Barklow), background overlays.
